South Nassau RNAwards & Honors
 Myrna Alvelo, RN & Recruiter is the recipient of this year's 2008 Pathfinder AwardEach year the Town of Hempstead proudly celebrates the achievements of outstanding women. During the month of March, nationally recognized as Women's History Month, Hempstead Town's own Pathfinder Award is presented to local women who have excelled in their careers, the arts, education and volunteer activities, among other areas. Each nominee is carefully considered in the category specified by the person or organization making the recommendation. Categories considered are as follows: ARTS, EDUCATION, HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, BUSINESS, HEALTH SERVICES, HUMANITARIAN, COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, VOLUNTEER and TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD EMPLOYEE. Myrna was honored at a special Town Hall ceremony at the Bennett Pavilion on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 at 3:00pm before her friends & family. |
